No. 14 Dallara wins at Indianapolis

Rico Kollmeier and Thomas Martin team up to win Round 10 of the VSCA SportsCar Championship at Indianapolis thanks to a clean drive and perfect strategy

Taking the checkered flag with a margin of twenty seconds, the No. 14 Dallara P217 LMP2 earned its first victory since July 2022 at Canadian Tire Motorsport.

On Saturday, Indianapolis proved to be a great racing ground for the German-Australian drivers duo to go to victory lane for the first time this season.

“And to get a win on this of all tracks feels incredible. Thomas and I were asking us so many times ‘What was that? What is going on? What are they thinking?’ , because we had so many crazy moments in this race.”, said Kollmeier.

“I think I jumped off the cliff about 100 times in traffic. But it shows again that our approach to focus on avoiding trouble works. It is starting to really pay off for us, which is great. We definitely keep that going going forward. I’ve also got to give credit to Thomas on absolutely flawless execution today. And we had the perfect strategy, too.”

In the championship, the No. 14 Dallara sits in third place, 328 points back with the season finale Petit Le Mans coming up at Road Atlanta in two weeks.
