Preview: iRacing NEC Round 6

After Fischer Motorsport missed the last two rounds of the iRacing Nürburgring Endurance Championship, the team returns Saturday with the No. 84 Porsche.

Niclas Pedersen and Benjamin Fischer will once again share driving duties in the four-hour race. The Danish-German drivers duo most recently had a strong run and won NEC Round 3 in late May.

“Of course we’re still happy about the win, but it’s been two months and doesn’t really give us any guarantee this weekend, that we’ll get a good result again.”, said Benjamin Fischer.

Overall the team has competed in only two out of five championship rounds this year and therefore plays no role in the championship. Still, the team is highly motivated.

“Yeah, we had too many scheduling conflicts and most of our drivers are primarily focused on racing in VSCA in America. So for us, it’s not really about championship points this year, but about winning races and preparing for next year, when we want to attack again. But on race day, this doesn’t make a difference to us. We are going to give it everything we got.”, Fischer added.

Race start for iRacing NEC Round 6 is Saturday at 20:10 CEST / 2:10 pm EDT.
