Fischer Motorsport wins NEC season opener at Nürburgring

Starting the new Nürburgring Endurance Championship season the same way as the old one ended, Fischer Motorsport wins Round 1 on Sunday

Drivers Benjamin Fischer and Travis Linscome-Hatfield teamed up in the No. 84 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) to take full advantage of a strong second-place starting spot on the grid to lead the most laps and take victory in Sunday’s Round 1 of the Nürburgring Endurance Championship.

On lap two, Fischer battled and took the lead from the Eibach SimRacing Porsche through a daring move into Mutkurve and never looked back, increasing the lead throughout the first half of the race.

Completing the driver swap pit stop at the halfway mark, Linscome-Hatfield took over and maintained the lead to the checkered flag.

For the No. 84 Porsche team, it was the second consecutive win after also taking the top step on the podium in the 2022 season finale. It also was the team’s fourth win in the last seven NEC races.

The next championship round of the NEC takes place on April 22nd.
