Preview: iRacing NEC Round 9
As usual, the driver pairing of Niclas Pedersen and Benjamin Fischer will compete in the event driving the No. 84 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992).
The two drivers from Denmark and Germany already earned wins in NEC Round 3 in late May and NEC Round 8 in September. Additionally the drivers duo took podium finishes in NEC Round 7 (P2) and NEC Round 6 (P3).
Through a tightly packed racing calendar, Fischer Motorsport has missed three championship rounds this year and therefore will not be a factor in the championship battle entering the season finale.
The weather forecasts predict a foggy and rather chilly season finale on Saturday – not the easiest track conditions imaginable. But the team is in good spirits.
“It’s typical Eifel weather, really. Especially in fall. That’s part of it. It’s fine for us, really. It will probably be a fast race, since the track will be rather cool. That means a lot of grip. But we’ll have to see; the competition will surely be tight again.”, says Benjamin Fischer.
The season ends on Saturday after nine races over the course of the past seven months. Fischer Motorsport will provide a live onboard stream from inside the No. 84 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
